Julie's own journey through substance use disorder, justice involvement, and recovery led her to become a peer support specialist in 2020. She knows firsthand how much a pet can mean — her animals were her emotional anchor when nothing else was steady. Anchor & Ark exists so no one ever has to give up that lifeline to get the help they deserve.
